Use this jig to square up your pen blanks to the pen tubes.
This sanding jig is 1" high. If your have a large disc sander, you can use the regular Pen Blank Sanding Jig which is 2" high.
The adjustable rod holder can be placed on either side of these new improved jigs.
Works best with appropriately sized punches to hold the pen tubes.
After gluing in the tube to your chosen pen blank, use this jig to square up the ends of the blank with that tube. Using the miter gauge on your disc or belt sander set it up so that this jig is perpendicular to the sander. Then choose the appropriate punch (punches sold separately) that best fits the tube you want to work with and insert that into the jig. Tighten it up, and slide the tube onto the punch. Then align the jig with the mitre gauge and press the tube onto the sander. This jig with a set of transfer punches will sand any tube. Sanding is often more gentle than using the pen mills.
You will receive a red or black Adjustable Rod Holder. Red is shown in the picture. Different rod lengths are also possible.
