Price is per blank. The blanks measure 1.75" round by 5" long and are made with polyester resin. These blanks were made oversize as you need to turn the blank down in diameter before the pattern stabilizes.

If you haven't turned polyester resin, it is more difficult to turn than acrylic and we would recommend trying it before purchasing large quantities. Compared to acrylic it is more brittle and much more prone to chipping during turning. We do not know if these can be turned on a CNC lathe. However, our guess is that they CANNOT be turned on a CNC lathe. Additionally, as these poly resin blanks are more brittle, we would recommend leaving the barrel of the blank as thick as you can for added strength.

These blanks are extremely translucent. Completely clear outside of the colored stripes which extend down the length of these blanks. The color in this blank is the same as in the pen blank, but the construction is slightly different as you can see in the comparison photo below.

More of this blank may be available than what is listed online, and this blank can be custom cut in lengths of up to 33". Please contact Ernie if you would like longer lengths or additional cut blanks.
