Blanks measure 3/4"+ x 5"+. Multiple blanks are shown to illustrate variety. The blanks were lacquered before being photographed.

The "Faux Burl" series of blanks feature multi-color solid alumilite faux burl caps combined with either "Reef" style ribbons or "Mosaic" style stained glass looking chips which are suspended in a clear alumilite base between the faux burl ends. The clear base means you really get to see the peaks and valleys from the faux burl caps. You will definitely need to paint the interior of the blank after you drill it and/or paint the tubes. As always, the creative choice is up to you.

It is hard to capture the translucency of the blank in the photographs because of how dense the alumilite ribbons or chips are, but take our word for it, the base of the blank is clear. It is easier to see the transparency as you turn it down on the lathe. These will make great full thickness projects like diamond painting pens; but if done carefully and on a thicker walled kit, they will make a nice tubed project.

The "Pixie" faux burl blank has Orange and Yellow ends with various colored mosaic chips. This blank also has fine glitter in the blank.

These blanks are made in small batches here in the USA, so some variations in color from batch to batch should be expected. We will attempt to ship blanks from the same batch when possible. Please understand that some color variation is possible and the patterns will definitely vary.
